
Colegio Monterrey is a private Christian school supported by a nonprofit Association, whose purpose is to contribute to the development of children and teenagers, teaching them to faithfully fulfill their duties within their family, society, and God.
The school also helps students develop skills in the areas of technology and science. One of the school's main goals is to motivate students to pursue a higher education and professional training.

The Institution was established as a bilingual school in 1996, to offer students the posibility of learning the English language, an important tool in today's modern society.
Colegio Monterrey is affiliated to the Association of Private Schools of Costa Rica (ACEP), entity that supervises the quality of the educational services offered by its members in order to improve the overall quality of Costa Rican education.
At the present, the Institution is in the process of being accredited by the International Christian Accreditation Association (ICAA).
